Who I Am 🩷
Born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas- I never grew up with dreams to move to Los Angeles and become a model and actor. My grandmother was a teacher- and from a young age, the importance of education was instilled in me. As a little girl, I knew I wanted to go to College and become successful. I attended Texas State University in 2013 studying sociology and psychology. From my freshman thru senior year, I was modeling as a creative outlet and doing photo shoots for fun. I would meet up with photographers from Austin, Dallas and Houston. I would style myself and do my own make up. By my junior year, I had a nice portfolio. At that point, I began to dream big after much encouragement and acknowledgment in my photos. Especially online. I wrote down in my journal “I am a Wilhelmina Model.” at the end of 2015. During Spring Break 2016, two friends from college and I went to Los Angeles for a week. While there, I went to an open call on a Tuesday at Wilhelmina. They showed interested but were concerned because I lived in Texas. Three weeks later after a trip back to Los Angeles, I met with Wilhelmina and became a signed model. I dropped out of college with one semester left and moved to Los Angeles January 2017. With no prior experience or mentorship, I had a one in a million chance of an opportunity. I am forever grateful for the experience, and since then so many doors have opened for me. I jumped straight into acting, and have gained so much experience. The industry is tough, and through life’s challenges and confusions, I yearned for nurturing and reassuring guidance about my career. Time and time again I was met with no compassion, and learned through my peers, trials, error and experiences.
My mission is to protect the youth and help prepare them for the realities of the modeling industry! From self love, confidence, professionalism, and how to behave on set- they will learn the ins and out of the industry. As well as insight from Actor Aarin Cummings on the acting business. Bobbie Riley’s expertise on basic hygiene, skin care and how to prep for set. I want the children to have the best quality education on their future careers.
It’s a blessing to say I have been in this business for 9 years. I’m grateful for every opportunity, agent, photographer, brand, make up artist, model, and stylist I have ever worked with. I made it out of a small town- with big dreams. Outside of work, I am passionate about my family and loved ones. My sister Miranda needs a kidney transplant right now, so it’s my duty to go full force on my dreams and purpose. My mission is also to support her in the best way possible. I love cooking, music, karaoke, staying active, self care, coffee, good food, and being in nature. I love children and come from a big family. The second oldest of 6 siblings, I am a big sister to many. That does not exclude those who may not be blood family, but look up to me.
After 9 years and counting in this business, it is an HONOR to give back to my community in the city of Los Angeles. This city has blessed me so much, and I am ready to give back. This started as a dream after writing my book in 2018 “Manifesting Fashion”. Now this is a reality. I still have so many more dreams to accomplish, but I can say I am a success story. I made it out of my hometown, came from nothing and built a career from the ground up. And it still feels like I’m just getting started.
Thank you for supporting me and my mission! :)
